Is Google Slapping You?

These days, Google slapping has been quite prevalent in the online advertising arena. Many websites have been affected by the Google slap, where Adword bid prices suddenly jumped a few cents a click to a few dollars a click. The types of websites that have been most affected by the Google slap our sites such as affiliate websites, single page sales copy sites, landing sites, and most of all, Adsense webpages.

Because Google is such a large search engine and monopoly, it may sometimes be difficult to understand. Nonetheless there is a way to correct a slap, if you have been affected.

Google has reported multiple complaints from advertisers regarding advertising difficulties, and this is the main reason for the Google slap implementation. Apparently, Adsense websites, one-page sales copy websites, and landing sites are the culprits to this problem; such websites currently have way too many advertisements and are driving up costs for other quality content websites.

One of the things that you can do to improve your Google advertisement reputation is to ensure that all of your sponsored advertisements are completely segregated from your main website content. If you are like most of those Adsense, or affiliate websites, you typically merge or highly relate your main website content with your sponsored advertisements. However, Google is now requiring advertisers to segregate advertisements and their main content. Simply put, the best solution is to produce some very high quality and relevant content on your website. Once you accomplish this, simply place all your keywords that you are targeting in Google advertisements into the title and header.
